Salt Water Contamination

For sea-water cooled systems on older vessels it is essential to know the source of the water in the oil. The CMT Salt Water Test does allow the user to identify whether the water contamination of the oil is sea- or freshwater.
Use the Salt Water Contamination Test together with the Electronic Water in Oil Kit to identify the problem clearly. Especially in four-stroke engines water evaporates over time but the salt stays in the oil resulting in corrosion problems.
