Density Meter Consumables

The two CMT Density Meter are suitable for both distillate and residual fuel oils. They can also be used for any lubrication or hydraulic oil if needed. Density is especially important for ships burning heavy fuel oil since the density can vary a lot. The density is used to confirm the quantity and grade of fuel delivered.

• Ensure the correct amount and grade of fuel has been delivered to your ship.
• Ensure you have been supplied with fuel and not a mixture from fuel and gas (cappuccino effect).
